Waterproof, protecting against external contamination.
WHAT IS IT? CovaWound™ Foam Non-Adherent Foam Dressing with Adhesive Border is a non-adherent foam dressing with a three layer construction. CovaWound™ Foam Non-Adherent Foam Dressing with Adhesive Border is soft and conformable providing an optimal moist healing environment and excellent patient comfort. FREQUENCY OF CHANGE:

CovaWound™ Foam

NON-ADHERENT FOAM DRESSING WITH BORDER

CovaWound™ Foam dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the amount of exudate and the condition of the wound. CovaWound™ Foam dressing should be changed when visible signs of exudate approach the edge of the dressing. The accumulative use of CovaWound™ Foam dressing should not exceed 30 days. CovaWound™ Foam does not adhere to the wound and, therefore, is indicated for the management of light to moderately exuding wounds such as pressure, leg, diabetic and foot ulcers, superficial and partial thickness burns, donor sites, trauma wounds and post-operative surgical wounds. BREATHABLE POLYURETHANE FILM Allows moisture vapour transmission away from the dressing. HOW TO APPLY? 1. Clean the wound area with normal saline or distilled water.
2. Gently dry the surrounding skin and ensure that it is free of any residue.
3. Choose the size and shape of the dressing which is most suitable, the dressing should extend 2 cm beyond the wound margin.
4. Remove the dressing from the packaging.
5. Remove the release liner from the dressing and apply the white side of the non-adherent foam dressing to the wound.
6. Firmly affix the adhesive border to the surrounding skin.
7. Remove the back release liner and smooth out the dressing to ensure it is firmly in place.
