Advanced Wound
SUPERABSORBENT POLYMER (SAP) CORE Locks in fluid even under pressure, decreasing the risk of maceration of the wound and surrounding tissue.
SOFT HYDROPHILIC WOUND CONTACT LAYER Enables transmission of fluid through to the SAP core.
WHEN DO I USE IT?
FLUID-REPELLENT NONWOVEN BACKING Acts as a barrier and prevents exudate strike-through.
WHAT IS IT?
CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid and CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid (Thin/Transparent) dressings have a two layer construction composed of an absorbent hydrocolloid matrix laminated to a breathable polyurethane film backing. The hydrocolloid matrix absorbs exudate to form a cohesive gel while the breathable polyurethane film backing provides a high rate of moisture vapour transmission. The combination of these two features ensures that CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid provides an optimal moist wound environment conducive to wound healing and minimizes the chance of damage to healthy peri-wound skin.
FREQUENCY OF CHANGE:
CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid
HYDROCOLLOID DRESSING
CovaWound™ SuperAbsorbent dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the patient, the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or as indicated by accepted clinical practice. The accumulative use of CovaWound™ SuperAbsorbent dressings should not exceed 30 days.
CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid dressing is indicated for the management of lightly exuding wounds such as; pressure, leg and foot ulcers, superficial partial thickness burns, donor sites, diabetic ulcers, post-operative wounds and skin abrasions. CovaWound™ Hydrocolloid dressing may also be used on small wounds towards the end of the healing phase.
HOW TO APPLY?
