WHAT IS IT?
CovaWound™ Silicone Self Adherent Soft Silicone Foam Dressing and CovaWound™ Silicone Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Foam Dressing (Lite) are absorbent, atraumatic dressings consisting of a soft silicone adhesive that does not stick to the surface of a wound or cause epidermal stripping or pain upon removal, an absorbent core of polyurethane foam, and a vaporpermeable polyurethane membrane which acts as a barrier to liquid and microorganisms.

SELF-ADHERENT SOFT SILICONE FOAM DRESSING
CovaWound™ Silicone dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the patient, the condition of the wound and surrounding skin, or as indicated by accepted clinical practice. CovaWound™ Silicone dressing should be changed when visible signs of exudate approach the edge of the dressing. The accumulative use of CovaWound™ Silicone dressing should not exceed 30 days.
CovaWound™ Silicone dressing is indicated for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
CovaWound™ Silicone (Lite) dressing is indicated for the management of light to moderately exuding wounds. Wound such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds, and superficial and partial thickness burns.
HIGHLY ABSORBENT POLYURETHANE FOAM Designed to prevent the wound bed from drying out or the surrounding skin from becoming macerated.
SOFT SILICONE WOUND CONTACT LAYER Facilitates application and retention of the dressing to intact skin, but will not stick to the surface of a wound or cause trauma to delicate new tissue upon removal.
HOW TO APPLY?
1. Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures.
2. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
3. Remove the release liner and apply the adherent side to the wound. Do not stretch.
4. For best results CovaWound™ Silicone Self-Adherent Soft Silicone Foam Dressing’s wound pad should overlap the wound edges by at least 2 cm.
