Advanced Wound
SUPERABSORBENT POLYMER (SAP) CORE Locks in fluid even under pressure, decreasing the risk of maceration of the wound and surrounding tissue.
SOFT HYDROPHILIC WOUND CONTACT LAYER Enables transmission of fluid through to the SAP core.
WHEN DO I USE IT?
FLUID-REPELLENT NONWOVEN BACKING Acts as a barrier and prevents exudate strike-through.
WHAT IS IT?
CovaWound™ SuperAbsorbent dressing consists of a soft polyethylene (PE) wound contact layer, a Polyurethane (PU) foam with SuperAbsorbent Polymer (SAP, polyacrylate) which provides excellent fluid absorption, and a non-woven fiber top layer. The non-adherent hydrophilic wound contact layer enables transmission of fluid through to the SAP core, which locks in fluid, decreasing the risk of maceration of the wound and surrounding tissue.
FREQUENCY OF CHANGE:
